Milwaukee’s Bliffert Lumber, a century-old establishment in the southeastern region of the city, is currently supplying the Republican National Convention (RNC) with materials for the construction of the event’s stage inside Fiserv Forum. Ken Converse, general manager of Bliffert Lumber, stated that several semi-loads of lumber have already been shipped out, along with various tools and materials. In addition to lumber, Bliffert is also providing Milwaukee power tools, fasteners, and other essential building supplies.

Converse expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to support a national event taking place locally. With its long history dating back to the 1900s, Bliffert Lumber takes pride in serving its community. As one of the few remaining independent lumber yards in Milwaukee, it is an honor to be a part of such a prestigious event.

The RNC is expected to bring an economic impact of $200 million to the Milwaukee area according to estimates from Visit Milwaukee. Converse believes that events like these are beneficial for the community as they contribute to its growth and boost its economy. He hopes that more conventions will choose Milwaukee as their location in order to continue fostering a strong and vibrant community for its residents.
