Mill Valley Little League Juniors recently clinched the District 3 title for the first time in eight years with a record of 5-1 and an impressive total score of 61-28. Their only loss was against Gallinas Valley, but they bounced back with a stunning 18-5 victory against West Marin. In that game, six different players had two or more RBIs.

The team’s final game was a thrilling 10-3 win against Ross Valley. Raymond Cao led the way with three RBIs, while Alexander Radics drove in a pair of runs. Cao, Radics, Williams, Weir, and Nico Rocherolle all had two hits for Mill Valley.

In the 9-10s District 3 playoffs, the top four teams advanced to Friday’s semifinals. Twin Cities faced Novato South in one game, with Novato South earning a hard-fought 3-0 win thanks to Xavier Eaton’s impressive pitching performance. Novato North also advanced to the semifinals after a dominant 11-0 victory against Tiburon Peninsula.

In baseball news, the San Rafael Pacifics had an impressive road win over Dublin with a final score of 13-4. They put together a seven-run fourth inning with John Bicos driving in three runs. Aki Buckson hit his seventh home run of the season in that game. Starting pitcher Owen Cuffe threw eight innings, striking out eight batters.

The Pacifics were scheduled to play the Leprechauns again on Wednesday before hosting Martinez at home on Thursday for another exciting matchup.
