Mike Tyson’s highly anticipated fight with Jake Paul has been postponed due to a health scare that occurred while he was on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Tyson’s camp announced that he will provide a new fight date next week. The original fight was scheduled to take place on July 20 in Arlington, Texas.

Tyson’s illness was caused by an ulcer problem, and following a consultation with medical professionals on Thursday, it was recommended that he stick to minimal training for the next few weeks before returning to full training with no restrictions. Despite not having fought professionally since June 2005, Tyson has been regularly training for several years and made a return to the ring in November 2020 with an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. He expressed that he is in better shape than he has been since the 1990s and is eager to put on a memorable performance later this year against Jake Paul.

Jake Paul, a 27-year-old YouTube personality turned boxer, supports the decision to postpone the event to ensure Tyson is at his best. He remains confident in his abilities and is prepared to claim victory with a remarkable finish once the fight takes place.
