Championship side Middlesbrough has completed a deal to acquire Aidan Morris from MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew. The midfielder will be moving to England for a reported fee of $4 million and will join a Boro team that is aiming to build upon their 8th place finish in the 2023/24 season.

Morris expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, saying, “I’m just so blessed. My heart is Black & Gold. It’s been an amazing ride. Besides the MLS Cups, I’ve formed wonderful relationships here with amazing people, and that means more to me than winning championships.”

Boro manager Michael Carrick also commented on the signing, stating, “We’re thrilled to have Aidan join the club. He is a talented player who fits well with our style of play. He is physically strong, comfortable on the ball, and proficient with both feet. Despite his young age, he has already experienced success and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. We are eager to start working with him.”
