During Build 2024, Satya Nadella discussed Microsoft’s collaboration with OpenAI. He highlighted that more than 50,000 organizations are currently utilizing Azure AI. Nadella emphasized that OpenAI is Microsoft’s most strategic and significant partnership.
Nadella announced that GPT-4o is now generally available on Azure AI. He pointed out that with Azure AI, they provide a wide range of frontier and open-source models, including LLMs and SLMs. Copilot, which utilizes GPT-4o, was demonstrated during the conference. Copilot can assist users with their tasks by sharing screens and providing timely recommendations. For instance, in a demo, someone was playing “Minecraft” while interacting with Copilot, which could analyze the screen to offer crafting and survival tips.
