Malia Obama is currently working on a screenwriting and directing career and recently premiered her short film ‘The Heart’ at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. The 25-year-old described the film as exploring themes of lost objects, loneliness, forgiveness, and regret. She aims to bring a sense of closeness to viewers through her creative pursuits.
On the other hand, Sasha Obama graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2023. Despite their different educational and professional paths, Michelle Obama has repeatedly denied any interest in running for political office since her husband left office in 2017. In an interview, she emphasized that she never expressed interest in pursuing a political career herself.
With Malia focused on filmmaking and Sasha obtaining a degree in sociology, it seems like the Obama family is taking a clear stance against entering the political arena. Instead, they are choosing to pursue paths that align with their individual passions and interests – influenced by Michelle Obama’s values and beliefs.
