On Sunday, May 26, a man armed with a knife wounded three people in the metro of the French city of Lyon. The attack took place at the Jean Jaurès station in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon around 15:00, as reported by TF1 television. Prior to the arrival of the police, several people had reported a suspicious man armed with a folding knife, and he managed to injure three passengers before being apprehended. The criminal stabbed two people in the stomach and wounded a third in the arm, with four people sustaining injuries and another needing help to recover from shock, according to Actu Lyon. An investigation into “attempted premeditated murder” has been opened.
