In the afternoon hours of a Tuesday, a man in the midst of a mental health crisis caused a significant police response at the Kroger Marketplace in Miamisburg. The incident prompted multiple witnesses to report seeing numerous police officers at the grocery store.

The Miamisburg Police Department and medics were called to the scene around 3:45 p.m., after receiving reports of a disorderly individual at the Kroger Marketplace located on 255 N Heincke Road. According to sources, the suspect, described as a man in his late 20s or early 30s, entered the store, stole a box cutter, and proceeded to lock himself in a bathroom. Despite experiencing a mental health crisis, the individual did not harm himself.

Reports suggest that the man was arrested on charges of trespassing, inducing panic, and theft following his arrest by authorities. The incident occurred amidst reports from Montgomery County dispatch supervisors that if anyone is experiencing thoughts of suicide, they can contact the National Suicide Hotline by dialing 988 for immediate assistance.

It’s important to note that these events may have caused disruptions and inconvenience for customers visiting the Kroger Marketplace on this day. However, with police presence and quick intervention from authorities, no harm was reported during this incident.
