Kevin, a massive Great Dane from West Des Moines, Iowa, has been recognized as the world’s tallest dog by Guinness World Records. Measuring 0.97m from his feet to his withers, which is approximately 3ft 2in, and standing at about 7ft on his hind legs, Kevin is truly a gentle giant.
Living with three other dogs and four cats, Kevin has earned his name from Macaulay Culkin’s character in Home Alone. Despite his immense appetite for food, this lovable pup manages to maintain a trim figure. When asked about Kevin’s personality traits, owner Tracy Wolfe describes him as a gentle giant who loves snuggling on the sofa.
Despite his fear of vacuum cleaners and jumping and running away from them within six feet, Kevin is an outgoing pup who gets along well with the family’s cats and is known for being gentle with the smaller dogs. Outdoors, people often mistake him for a horse due to his size. However, he continues to hold the title of the tallest live dog at present after another Great Dane named Zeus passed away in 2014 at just five years old.
