In light of the escalating conflict with Hezbollah, hospitals in northern Israel have been transferring patients to those in the center of the country, according to Keshet TV. The Mako website reports that this is due to the small size of Ziv, Poriya, and HaGalil hospitals and an attempt by the health system to relieve them in case of an escalation of hostilities.

Patients who are in serious condition and require intensive care, including those connected to ventilators, have been transferred to Sheba hospital in Tel Hashomer, Ichilov in Tel Aviv, and Rambam in Haifa. The Ministry of Health has confirmed that this is a necessary step related to preparing the health care system and hospitals for a possible deterioration in the security situation in northern Israel.
