The MEBA Business and Private Aircraft Exhibition 2024 is set to bring together key players in the aviation industry for its tenth edition, taking place in Dubai from December 10 to 12 this year.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project in Dubai South reported an impressive 8% increase in business aircraft movement in 2023 compared to the previous year, marking the highest movement of such aircraft in the emirate to date. This solidifies Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for business aircraft. The project started the current year with strong momentum, recording over 4,600 business aircraft movements in the first quarter. The growth in the sector is partly driven by high net worth individuals flocking to Dubai, with the number of millionaires in the emirate increasing by 78% between 2013 and 2023.

The upcoming edition of the exhibition will see a rise in new exhibitors, showcasing the significant role that business aviation plays in boosting regional and global economies. Eighty percent of participants from previous editions will return, while new participants include companies like French regional airline Amelia, Saudi Aramco subsidiary Integrated Aviation, Saudi-based Skyena, and AI-powered spending management platform My Sky. Also returning is Greenpoint Technologies, a prominent business aircraft completion center.

The exhibition is expected to be a crucial player in the advanced air transport market, aligning with the UAE’s push for growth in this sector at the international level. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum revealed plans for air taxis to be operational by 2026, with companies like Joby Aviation aiming to have air taxis in service by 2025. A new pavilion dedicated to advanced air transport will showcase the latest electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, offering immense opportunities for emerging companies in the business aviation sector through events like VISTA. This platform allows startups to present their cutting-edge technologies and solutions directly to industry leaders.

Dubai’s position as a global hub for business aviation has been cemented by its growth over recent years. In addition to its increasing number of millionaires and high net worth individuals flocking to Dubai’s luxurious lifestyle offerings and world-class infrastructure development projects such as Expo City Dubai – Dubai Miracle Garden – Dubai Global Village – DUBAI: THE CENTER OF THE WORLD – Dubai’s economy continues to thrive on international trade agreements such as UAE’s economic partnership agreement (EPA) with Japan that was signed last July.

Overall, it seems that Dubai is well on its way towards becoming one of the most important players in global aviation and trade markets. With so much potential on offer at MEBA Business and Private Aircraft Exhibition 2024
