McPherson College in Kansas has been granted $2.1 million in new funding to establish an educational center for Rural & Community Health Science, thanks to Senator Jerry Moran’s announcement. The funds will support the creation of a new health science program that will offer students specialized training in clinical, administrative, behavioral, or community health.
This initiative is a significant milestone for the college as it marks the first time they have received federal funding through congressionally directed spending. The $2.1 million funding will be used to renovate the school’s science hall to include updated laboratory facilities and technological enhancements.
