Firefighters in Springfield were called to a massive blaze at the Superior Rental location near Kearney Street on Monday afternoon. The fire was so large that it could be seen from both I-44 and Highway 65.

The fire crews arrived around 12:30 p.m., and they are still actively working to put out the flames. Luckily, no injuries have been reported so far, and it seems that the fire was confined to two forklifts on the property.

Firefighters requested assistance from Springfield City Utilities due to powerlines in the area. The CU Outage Map showed 60 reported outages in the region, but these have since been resolved.
