Two Indian restaurants have made it to the extended list of The World’s 50 Best rankings for 2024, according to William Reed media company. Masque in Mumbai and Indian Accent in New Delhi have secured their spots on the list, which features establishments from around the world that are ranked from 51 to 100.

Masque in Mumbai has been named India’s best restaurant for two consecutive years by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list. It is led by restaurateur Aditi Dugar (Director & Founder) and head chef Varun Totlani, who have been praised for their focus on showcasing India’s diverse produce in a unique setting. The restaurant was housed in a stylish former Mumbai textile mill and served a 10-course tasting menu that has been widely acclaimed as “arguably India’s most forward-thinking restaurant.”

Indian Accent in New Delhi, led by Chef Manish Mehrotra at The Lodhi, has held its position as the best restaurant in India for seven consecutive years from 2015 to 2021. It was ranked 26th among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2024, with The World’s 50 Best describing it as a restaurant that continually pushes the boundaries of Indian contemporary cuisine. Indian Accent crafts creative modern dishes with a touch of warmth and hospitality, making it a popular choice among food enthusiasts and critics alike.
