North Carolina has gained another commitment for their 2025 recruiting class with the addition of three-star athlete Julien Horton. Horton had initially committed to Maryland but ultimately chose North Carolina due to their persistent recruitment efforts. Standing at 6 feet and weighing 175 pounds, Horton had received 20 offers during his recruitment process. According to 247Sports rankings, he is ranked No. 897 nationally, the No. 78 safety, and the No. 22 player in Maryland.

Horton’s commitment marks the 11th for North Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class, placing them at No. 41 overall in the rankings. Despite this commitment, North Carolina still has several high-profile targets on their radar and it is likely that they will secure more commitments in the future with plenty of time left in the recruiting process.
