On Wednesday, the Helsinki Stock Exchange closed with a decline of 0.8 percent at 9994.11 points. The most traded stock of the day was Neste, which organized a pre-silent call before the quiet season. After the investor call, Neste’s share price rapidly fell by 5.8 percent to 16.635 euros.

The market situation in the second quarter was weaker compared to the first quarter, and Neste mentioned that the lower price of diesel had impacted its business. However, the company did not provide any specific comments on its quarterly results or guidance.

Another stock that saw a decline was My Savings Bank, whose share fell by 6.6 percent to 14.84 euros after announcing the dismissal of its CEO during a press conference and launching an investigation into violations in lending practices by its former director. OmaSp also announced the composition of its shareholders’ nomination committee and audit committee.

Sampo was the only stock among the top twelve traded shares that ended with a rise of 1.6 percent after Rhombus issued a positive profit warning which led to a 13.6 percent increase in its share price and Raute increased its financial guidance for the current year, highlighting a strong order book supporting positive business development despite market challenges.

Bittium announced a framework agreement with BAE Systems, leading to a 12.4 percent increase in its share price and KH Group received approval for a business transaction while Merus Power secured a significant order from Swiss Alpiq for an electricity storage facility and YIT contracted Prysmian Group for a 35 million euro project while Wärtsilä announced a 20 million euro investment for expanding its technology center
