Mark Ruffalo, who has been portraying Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for several years, has confirmed that he will be returning to the franchise in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. During a recent interview with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Ruffalo did not reveal much about his role in the movie, but simply stated that “it’s going to be great.”
Fans of the MCU are eagerly awaiting more details on Captain America: Brave New World. While not much information is currently available, it has been confirmed that Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, aka Captain America. Additionally, Harrison Ford will take over the role of Thaddeus Ross following William Hurt’s passing in 2022. This character has a significant history with Bruce Banner and was responsible for turning him into the Red Hulk in some storylines.
Ruffalo took a break from the MCU after his last major appearance in Avengers: Endgame in 2019. However, he has continued to work on various Marvel projects such as She-Hulk and What If…? as well as appearing in non-superhero films. The release date for Captain America: Brave New World is set for February 14th, 2025 and fans can look forward to more exciting news from Marvel including their release of the first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine.
