Marcum Technology, a subsidiary of a top 15 accounting firm Marcum, has recently acquired the IT Enhanced Managed Services division of top 10 accounting firm CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen). The financial terms of this deal were not disclosed. Following the acquisition, former CLA team members, led by Tim McFarland, vice president of managed IT services, joined Marcum Technology. This move aims to expand Marcum Technology’s Managed IT Services group and provide additional expertise to its healthcare and banking industry teams.

In a media release, Marcum Technology CEO Peter Scavuzzo expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that it will facilitate the company’s expansion into the Midwest and enhance its IT capabilities in the banking and healthcare sectors. The addition of CLA’s IT division will deepen Marcum Technology’s commitment to providing excellent IT managed services and exceptional customer experiences.

CLA’s IT Enhanced Managed Services division offers various consulting and outsourcing services, including business continuity and disaster recovery planning, cybersecurity, and technology advisory and strategy. This acquisition aligns with Marcum Technology’s goal of enhancing its service offerings and expertise to better serve clients in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone for both companies as they continue to grow their businesses in the rapidly evolving tech market. With this new addition to its portfolio, Marcum Technology aims to further establish itself as a leader in technology solutions for businesses across various industries.
