In the giant slalom discipline, Marco Odermatt has claimed his sixth FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup win of the season in Bansko, Bulgaria. He led the first run by 0.35 seconds over Norway’s Alexander Steen Olsen, and in the second run, he was the fastest of the late starters, finishing 0.91 seconds ahead of Steen Olsen. This victory marks Odermatt’s 10th World Cup triumph of the season, putting him in a commanding lead of over 800 points in the standings. With this performance, he is well positioned to secure the overall crystal globe as well as a third small crystal globe in giant slalom.

For Steen Olsen, this second-place finish was his first podium appearance and marked a significant career milestone for him. Austria’s Manuel Feller took third place, finishing just 0.17 seconds behind Steen Olsen.
