The Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio, is excited to announce that it will be offering free admission on eight days this summer thanks to a $200,000 grant from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation. The grant will cover admission for eight specific dates, with the first four dates set as Sunday, June 23, Monday, July 15, Sunday, Aug. 4, and Sunday, Aug. 18. Additional dates will be announced at a later time.

The science center is home to a variety of exhibits and programs that cater to visitors of all ages. Families with young children can enjoy the Polymer Funhouse for kids ages 7 and younger, while adults can explore the NASA Glenn Visitor Center and hundreds of interactive exhibits covering topics from space exploration to physics for kids.

The goal of the foundation providing the grant is to increase community awareness and engagement with educational institutions like the science center. Dr. Jehuda Reinharz, president and CEO of the foundation, stated that “the Mandel Free Days aim to provide Northeast Ohio residents with educational experiences that foster curiosity and critical thinking.”
