Manchester United are currently in talks with defender Jonny Evans about the possibility of extending his contract with the club. Initially training with the team during pre-season to maintain his fitness, Evans impressed manager Erik ten Hag and was consequently offered a one-year deal. Throughout last season, Evans made a total of 30 appearances for Manchester United, including a notable substitute performance in the FA Cup victory over Manchester City at Wembley.

In addition to Evans’ contract negotiations, Manchester United has also announced ongoing talks with goalkeeper Tom Heaton about a potential new contract. The club has also extended an offer to young talent Omari Forson, who made his Premier League debut in February and showed promise with his performance. However, the situation surrounding Forson’s contract negotiations remains uncertain as the club continues working towards securing his future at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Manchester United has announced the release of players including Brandon Williams, Anthony Martial, and Raphael Varane. Williams spent the previous season on loan at Ipswich but will be departing due to injury. Martial and Varane will also be leaving Manchester United as their deals come to an end.
