Lulu Hypermarket Group recently opened its 30th store in the Ansab area of the Sultanate of Oman, marking a significant milestone in their expansion plans for the region. The new store was inaugurated by Sheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with other dignitaries and officials from the Royal Oman Police.

During the opening ceremony, Sheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas highlighted Oman’s commitment to welcoming investors and supporting businesses with government policies that promote large projects like the Lulu Group expansion. He emphasized how such policies help create job opportunities for young people and contribute to the growth of local communities.

Yusuf Ali, Chairman of the Lulu Group, expressed his gratitude for the support from the Royal Oman Police and the government in enabling this project to meet the needs of shoppers in different areas. He also highlighted how important it is for businesses like Lulu to invest in local communities and create job opportunities for locals. As part of their expansion plans in Oman, the Lulu Group will be opening four more hypermarkets in the next two years, providing even more job opportunities for young people. Additionally, an advanced fruit and vegetable processing facility is set to be established in Khazaen Economic City by 2025. This expansion reflects Lulu’s commitment to investing in Oman’s future and supporting local communities.

The new store spans over 150,000 square feet and offers a diverse shopping experience for customers with various facilities and brands available. The group is dedicated to creating job opportunities for locals, with over 3,000 employees currently working at their supermarkets, half of whom are women.

This latest addition marks a significant step forward in Lulu’s efforts to expand its presence in Oman while also contributing positively to its economy by creating more job opportunities for young people.
