LSU Tigers are facing tough competition in the race to secure the commitment of a top-notch wide receiver. After losing the commitment of their star player, Dakorien Moore, last month, the team has been working hard to keep him on board and hosted him for an official visit earlier this week. However, Moore is not the only elite wide receiver option on LSU’s radar.

One of the top overall players on the board, Jaime Ffrench, a five-star Florida wide receiver from Mandarin (Jacksonville), has set a commitment date for August 30th. Ffrench has mentioned that he does not currently have a leader among his finalists, which include LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Texas.

Ranked as the No. 18 player nationally on the 247Sports composite, Ffrench was previously committed to Alabama for nearly six months before backing off that pledge after Nick Saban retired. While he claims he does not have a leader, Ohio State holds three crystal ball projections from 247Sports while Texas leads the way according to On3 recruiting prediction machine. LSU hosted Ffrench for an official visit last weekend and will be hoping they made a strong impression on him.
