Greater Seacoast Community Health has recently appointed Lori Gravelle as their new chief operations officer. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, Gravelle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.

Gravelle’s background includes working at community health centers similar to those within the Greater Seacoast network, such as Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth and Families First Health and Support Center in Portsmouth. Her most recent role was as the director of compliance, quality, and risk management for a community health center in New Mexico. She has also held leadership positions at US Radiology Specialists, Hudson Headwaters Health Network, and a community hospital in upstate New York.

Passionate about serving vulnerable and underserved populations, Gravelle is focused on improving access to high-quality care. She emphasizes the importance of workforce development and plans to collaborate with schools and community partners to address staffing challenges within healthcare organizations. Her goal is to ensure that patients receive the best possible care while also making healthcare more accessible to all members of the community.

Jim Avrett, who previously served as the COO, has now transitioned into the role of CEO at Greater Seacoast. He expressed excitement about Gravelle joining the team, emphasizing her knowledge and experience in areas crucial to the organization’s success. Her impact on operations and culture has been immediate and positive within the organization, as she works towards enhancing patient care and increasing access to healthcare services for all.
