During a session of the operational headquarters, Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, announced that Lori and Tavush marzes have been declared disaster zones. The government has allocated 300 million drams to address urgent issues in these areas. The minister also reported that road collapses had been observed along the M6 interstate road, up to Ayrum station, and a detailed assessment of the damages was underway.

The recent floods in Lori and Tavush marzes caused significant destruction, with the Debed river overflowing and emergency situations arising in multiple villages and towns. The floods resulted in road collapses, including the interstate road leading to Georgia, as well as the destruction of bridges and flooding of houses. Tragically, four casualties were reported.

In response to the severe impact of the floods, efforts are being made to address the immediate needs of the affected communities and initiate comprehensive recovery plans. The government is working to ensure that resources are effectively utilized to restore essential infrastructure and provide support to those affected by the recent natural disasters. Discussions were held regarding the restoration of essential services such as water supply, gas supply, and other communal facilities in Alaverdi and its neighboring settlements.
