On Friday, a vandal went on a rampage targeting cars and businesses along a busy road in Long Beach. The incident affected over 25 cars and seven businesses in the East Village, as reported by the Long Beach Police Department. Surveillance footage from an apartment complex recorded a man smashing windows in both vehicles and businesses.

A building manager at the Chase bank where the vandalized cars were parked confirmed that incidents like this have been happening for the past three years. Joe Harding, another building manager in Long Beach, shared that broken windows and temporary business closures are becoming common occurrences. Many individuals who park their cars on the street worry about becoming victims and frequently ask about surveillance footage to help with their insurance claims.

The Long Beach Police Department confirmed that an arrest had been made in connection to the vandalism but did not disclose the suspect’s name or charges they may face.
