The Jacksonville Jaguars typically play one regular-season home game per year in London. However, as the Jacksonville City Council considers a proposed stadium renovation deal, they aim to ensure that the Jaguars are only playing one overseas home game per year. Some council members have expressed concerns about the possibility of the Jaguars playing two international home games every four years, particularly with the potential expansion of the regular season to 18 games.

Under the proposed deal, the Jaguars could play two international home games every other year if the regular season is expanded. Currently, there is no limit in the lease agreement regarding the number of home games the Jaguars can play outside of Jacksonville, leading to speculation about the team potentially relocating.

If the council cannot modify this aspect of the deal negotiated between the team and Jacksonville mayor Donna Deegan, they will have to approve or reject it in its entirety. Currently,
