In Fall River, a local restaurant recently showed its appreciation for first responders in various cities and towns. Mr. Chen’s owner, Dominic Chen, acknowledged the hard work and dedication of these individuals throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. To express his gratitude, Chen prepared 70 trays of food filled with popular dishes like rice, lo mein, and appetizers, which were distributed to first responders in 8 different locations.

The workers at Mr. Chen’s packed up all the delicious food and delivered it to the stations as a pleasant surprise for the officers. This generous act was met with overwhelming support and appreciation from the Fall River Police Department, including Sergeant Moses Pereira, who expressed gratitude for the community’s support during challenging times.

Looking ahead, Chen hopes to make this act of appreciation and support a yearly tradition, emphasizing the importance of giving back to those on the front lines. He acknowledged that he wouldn’t be where he is today without the help of others and hopes to inspire more locals to contribute to these meaningful gestures of gratitude.
