The Memorial Day weekend has come and gone, leaving businesses in the Bend area feeling grateful for the influx of tourists that visited the region. Many visitors traveled from across the United States to experience all that the area has to offer.

Kasey Boknevitz traveled from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to visit friends and meet her dog’s sibling from Mexico. The Millikans came from Vancouver, Washington and have been visiting Bend for many years, enjoying camping and hotel stays in the area. Despite the busy week at the Redmond Airport, Bend Police reported a relatively quiet weekend.

Local businesses like boarding outfitters Tactics saw an increase in customers, partly due to the Bend Bash youth baseball tournament that brought over 250 teams to the area. The Bend Store saw visitors shopping for souvenirs like t-shirts, mugs, postcards, and paintings.
