Lille president Olivier Letang has confirmed that both Leny Yoro and Jonathan David are able to leave the club this summer amid interest from top clubs in Europe. Despite their contributions to Lille’s successful season, the two players only have 12 months left on their contracts and will be allowed to seek moves elsewhere.

Yoro, the 18-year-old center-back, had a standout season at Lille, earning a spot in the Ligue 1 Team of the Season for 2023-24. He attracted attention from top clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain. Yoro made 44 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions last season.

Jonathan David, the Canada international striker, is also drawing significant interest. He finished as Ligue 1’s second-highest scorer last season and has scored 71 goals in 146 league appearances since joining Lille from Gent in 2020. Napoli and Manchester United are among the clubs considering a move for David, who has also been linked with Chelsea, Spurs, and West Ham in the past.

Letang stated that both players have an “exit voucher” due to their contract situations, allowing them to seek moves to other clubs if they choose to do so. The departure of these key players will be a blow to Lille, but they will now have to find replacements in the upcoming transfer window.
