Liam Neeson has officially joined the cast of the upcoming action thriller Hotel Tehran, with Rocket Science set to launch sales at Cannes. The film will be directed by Guy Moshe, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mark Bacci, based on an original idea by former CIA operative Bazzel Baz. Plot details for the film have been kept a secret.

Production for Hotel Tehran is scheduled to begin in late summer. Neeson will be joining actor Zachary Levi in the project, with global distribution being handled by Rocket Science, Oakhurst Entertainment, Astral Future, and Dreamtime Films. The film will be produced by Matthew G. Zamias of Astral Future, Marina Grasic of Oakhurst, Wendy Sweetmore of Dreamtime Films, and Guy Moshe. Baz will serve as an executive producer alongside Harel Kodesh, Justin C. Oberman, and Arbel Kodesh of Astral Future.

Guy Moshe’s previous directing work includes the action thriller Bunraku starring Josh Hartnett as well as genre-bender LX 2048 and drama Holly featuring Ron Livingston. Neeson’s involvement in Hotel Tehran adds to the anticipation surrounding the film which is sure to be packed full of action and thrills.

Hotel Tehran follows a group of international agents who are trying to rescue hostages in Iran’s capital during a political crisis. The film promises to keep audiences on their toes with its fast-paced action scenes and intense storytelling.

The cast for Hotel Tehran includes not only Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi but also other notable actors such as Djimon Hounsou and Golshifteh Farahani who play supporting roles.
