In January, Archie Gray signed a long-term deal with Leeds before being signed by Tottenham Hotspur for about £30m. The sale of Gray is believed to help make Leeds compliant with profit and sustainability rules after missing promotion following their defeat in the Championship play-off final.

Gray played 52 matches last season for Leeds in midfield and at right-back. The 18-year-old had a bid from Brentford rejected for payment structure and add-ons. However, Spurs beat them to his signing.

Wales international Rodon, who was on loan at Leeds last season, signed a four-year deal with the club. Rodon was grateful to Leeds for giving him the opportunity to play at a higher level and thanked them for their support during his time at the club.

Leeds thanked Gray for his efforts and professionalism, acknowledging the disappointment of losing a homegrown talent. They believe the move will help them compete for automatic promotion next season within financial regulations.
