Leaders from around the world are gathering in Switzerland today for the summit on Ukraine, with the goal of putting pressure on Russia to end the ongoing war in Ukraine. The summit, titled the “Ukraine Peace Resolution,” will be attended by 100 delegations, including 57 heads of states and governments. Notably, Russia has not been invited to participate in the event.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Switzerland ahead of the summit yesterday, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration to achieve a just and stable peace in Ukraine. Despite Russia’s dismissal of the summit as a “road to nowhere” that will not contribute to peace efforts, leaders from around the world are coming together to address the conflict in Ukraine. This gathering represents a unified effort to work towards a resolution that will bring peace and stability to the region.

The President of Switzerland, Viola Amgerd, will open the summit which was organized by Switzerland at the request of Kyiv. The summit aims to put pressure on Russia to end its ongoing aggression against Ukraine. The attendees include heads of states and governments from countries across Europe, Asia and Africa who have come together to discuss ways to resolve one of Europe’s most pressing conflicts.
