Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito is determined to keep talented goalkeeper Christos Mandas at the club, despite interest from the Premier League. The offer from the Premier League club was around €10 million plus €5 million in add-ons, but Lotito rejected it.

Mandas, a 22-year-old Greek goalkeeper, impressed during his 12 appearances last summer as a backup to Ivan Provedel. He kept six clean sheets and conceded only nine goals. Despite his impressive performances, Lazio believes that Mandas has the potential to develop into a top goalkeeper and wants to retain him at the club.

Lotito sees Mandas as a key figure for the team’s future alongside Provedel. Although there was interest from the Premier League, Lazio believes that Mandas has shown his skill and ability to perform at the highest level during Provedel’s absence.
