World of Beer, a bar and restaurant located in Destiny USA since 2013, has announced that it will be closing at the end of the month. The Syracuse location is one of 38 franchised World of Beer establishments and is the only one in New York state. With a focus on offering a wide variety of beers, including local craft brews from New York state and national and international brands, the bar and restaurant also serves popular tavern-style dishes like burgers, tacos, flatbreads, and pretzels.

Owner Neil Patel shared the news on social media, stating that the last day of operation will be June 30, with a farewell party planned for June 21. Patel expressed gratitude for the memories, friendships, and unforgettable moments created during the establishment’s time in Syracuse. Despite the closure, Patel mentioned that he is looking to work with Destiny on rebranding the location with a different concept.

In addition to World of Beer, Destiny USA is home to the Bullfinch Brewpub, a locally owned brewery-restaurant that opened in 2022. The space previously housed a franchise of the national Gordon Biersch brewery-restaurant chain. Don Cazentre, a writer for NYup.com, syracuse.com
