The Lakers are currently searching for a new head coach and one potential candidate is Denver Nuggets assistant David Adelman. According to an ESPN report, Adelman is among a group of coaches that the Lakers have been given permission to interview for the position.

Adelman, who is 43 years old, joined the Denver coaching staff prior to the 2017-18 season and has played a key role in overseeing the team’s offense. In the absence of head coach Michael Malone, Adelman has stepped in as the acting head coach on several occasions over the last few seasons. His coaching career began at the high school level before making the jump to the NBA as a player-development coach for the Timberwolves in 2011, where his father, Rick Adelman, was the head coach.

Although Adelman was considered for the head coaching position with the Hornets, he did not get it. Despite this setback, his experience and coaching abilities have caught the attention of the Lakers who are now considering him as a potential candidate to lead their team.
