Cristian Olivera scored one of the goals during LAFC’s 3-0 win against Loudoun United, propelling them to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals for the third time in their history. The game took place at BMO Stadium on Tuesday night, with Timmy Tillman scoring in the eighth minute to take LAFC’s lead. Olivera added another goal in the 52nd minute, followed by a goal from Tomás Ángel in the 61st minute, securing their victory.

Loudoun United is a team from the USL Championship division based in Leesburg, Va., within Loudoun County. LAFC’s next opponent in the quarterfinal round will be determined on Wednesday night through a live drawing on U.S. Soccer’s YouTube channel. The quarterfinal match is scheduled for July 9 or 10.
