The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors approved several site plans during their regular meeting on Monday, including final and preliminary plans for new developments in the county. One of the approved plans is for a new restaurant called the County Line Grill, which will be located near the Panola County line on Highway 310. The owners, Rickey and Penny Roberts, were granted approval for their final site plan by the supervisors.
Another site plan that received approval was for Old Oaks of Oxford, situated on County Road 217 (Campground Road). This commercial subdivision plat, for Phase 10, was approved by the supervisors. The final phase of Old Oaks consists of 19 lots, and Joel Hollowell, the director of development services, commended the owners on how they have managed their business.
The Merion subdivision also received approval for their Phase 2 preliminary subdivision plat. Back in 2021, the Merion subdivision was granted a conditional use permit for a 146-lot subdivision. They had received final approval for 49 lots in Phase 1 in July 2023. Hollowell mentioned that sales are going well for Merion, with 21 houses sold as of May 17 and more under construction. Phase 2 will include an additional 57 lots.
Furthermore, the Board approved the preliminary and final site plan for the Pine Crest Cove subdivision, located off CR 217. The developer plans to construct 15 one-bedroom homes and
