La’el Collins faced doubts about returning to the field after suffering a severe knee injury in December 2022. Despite being unemployed for most of the year, he ended the season on the practice squad with the Dallas Cowboys. Although he didn’t play in any games upon his return, Collins has signed with the Buffalo Bills in hopes of completing his comeback this fall.

Collins admitted that he felt physically prepared to play before the end of last season, but mentally he wasn’t ready. However, after working with the Bills, his mindset has changed. He is determined to show up every day, work hard, and help out the younger players on the team. Collins expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play for the Bills and is looking forward to giving his all to the Bills Mafia.

Although there are other talented tackles on the team such as Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown, Collins could potentially factor into the mix as a guard since he played in that position during his rookie season with the Cowboys. The Bills are looking to solidify their offensive line and Collins is ready to contribute and dominate on the field.
