The upcoming 2024 Olympics swimming trials took place at the Colts’ stadium, while the swimming competition for the 2028 Olympics in L.A. will be held at the Rams and Chargers’ stadium. However, according to Kevin Draper and Jenny Vrentas of the New York Times, the swimming events at the upcoming Olympics will be hosted at SoFi Stadium, with a capacity to accommodate up to 35,000 fans.
The process of preparing the competition pool and warmup pool will result in a flip of the games’ order, with track and field events scheduled for the first week and swimming moving to the second week. The pools will be in place when the games begin, but additional time will be required to ensure they are ready for competition after the opening ceremonies at SoFi.
