In 2017, Bosnia and Herzegovina set a Guinness World Record with 2,325 individuals named Ivan. However, the city of Kyle, Texas wants to surpass that record with its second annual Gathering of Kyles. The event will take place at Lake Kyle Park on Saturday at 1 p.m., where attendees with the exact spelling of Kyle must show valid ID to prove their first names. Registration is required by 12:30 p.m. on the attempt day.

The city has been promoting the event on social media and urging all Kyles to participate in order to make history. The first Gathering of Kyles drew 1,490 people who shared the same first name in 2023 but did not break the record.

Organizers hope for a larger turnout in the second event and are expecting individuals with the exact spelling of Kyle to be present in order to meet the record-breaking goal. If successful, this unique event will go down in history as one of the most memorable gatherings ever held.

So if you’re named Kyle and want to be part of something special, head over to Lake Kyle Park on Saturday at 1 p.m., show your ID and register beforehand!
