The Kentucky Wildcats are making their debut in the NCAA College World Series and will face off against the winner of the University of Georgia and North Carolina State matchup. The Men’s College World Series is set to begin on Friday at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, and conclude no later than Monday, June 24.

The teams competing in the Division I College World Series include Tennessee, Florida State, Kentucky, Georgia/North Carolina State, North Carolina, Virginia, Texas A&M, and Florida. The finals of the College World Series are scheduled to take place from June 22-24 and will be aired on ESPN.

The Men’s College World Series has been held in Omaha, Nebraska at Charles Schwab Field since 2011. The first College World Series took place in 1950 at Rosenblatt Stadium and has been a staple in Omaha ever since. The first NCAA Men’s College World Series was held in 1947 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
