Kansas State has been ranked 24th in defense by EA Sports in its preseason Top 25, providing a reassurance for the team’s location in Manhattan, Kansas. Despite not making the cut for offense or overall power ranking, K-State remains a force to be reckoned with in college football, especially when it comes to dominating in-state rivalries. The Wildcats have a long-standing tradition of beating Kansas and establishing themselves as the team to beat in the Sunflower State.

EA Sports released rankings for the toughest places to play, offense, defense, and overall Top 25 earlier this week. While many may argue that SEC schools have an unparalleled game day experience, K-State fans are quick to point out the electric atmosphere in Manhattan. Surprisingly, EA Sports ranked Colorado and Kansas ahead of K-State in the overall power ranking, a decision that has left many fans scratching their heads.

Despite not making the cut in all categories, K-State remains a force to be reckoned with in college football. Coach Chris Klieman has upheld this tradition and continued the legacy of success established by former head coach Bill Snyder. The Wildcats have dominated their in-state rivalry with Kansas over the years and continue to do so under Klieman’s leadership.
