The Kansas City Chiefs recently celebrated their third Super Bowl win in the past five seasons with $40,000 each in Super Bowl rings. At a ceremony on Thursday night, the team unveiled and distributed the rings, which featured the scores of the postseason games that led to their victory. The rings also displayed the arrowhead logo, four Vince Lombardi Trophies, and a total of 529 diamonds, including 19 baguette diamonds to represent Kansas City’s unique achievement of being the first NFL team in 19 years to win back-to-back championships.

The rings feature a diagram of the “Tom & Jerry” play on one side, depicting the moment when Patrick Mahomes threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman in overtime, securing a 25-22 win. The other side of the ring displays the seed of each opponent faced by the Chiefs during their playoff run, starting with Miami Dolphins in the wild-card round. However, an error was discovered in the design as it listed Miami’s seed incorrectly as AFC’s seventh seed when they were actually sixth seed based on their regular season record.

The mistake was noticed by fans when they received a full design of the rings and confirmed by Chiefs officials. The team has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding this typo. Despite this error in design, fans and players alike are thrilled with these new pieces of jewelry that celebrate KC’s recent successes on and off the field.
