Italian international defender Riccardo Calafiori remains a priority for Juventus, but negotiations with Bologna have hit a stalemate. The Serie A giants are searching for alternatives as they try to bring Calafiori to Turin, but the asking price from Bologna is too high.

Calafiori has put any decision about his future on hold until after Italy’s upcoming match against Croatia in the Euro 2024. He was a standout performer for Bologna last season, helping them qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Thiago Motta, Juventus’ new coach, is eager to bring his former player from Bologna to Turin but negotiations have hit a stalemate. Recent reports suggest that Motta may be losing patience with the transfer saga and could shift his focus to another player he has worked with in the past, Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior. Motta coached Kiwior during his time at Spezia and the 24-year-old could be a surprise addition to the Juventus squad under Motta’s management.
