Italian powerhouse Juventus is strengthening their squad in preparation for the upcoming season, with Everton midfielder Hanna Bennison the latest addition to the roster. The club has announced that Bennison has joined on a permanent transfer following rumors of a move to Italy last month.

Bennison, who made 81 appearances and scored eight goals for Everton in the Women’s Super League, will now have the chance to play in a different style at Juventus, where she hopes to find her preferred playing style. She explained her decision to leave Merseyside by stating that she wanted something different from her experience at Everton and believed that Juventus’ focus on possession and ball retention would suit her preferences.

After winning five consecutive titles from 2017 to 2022, Juventus faced challenges from Roma in the past two seasons. However, Roma claimed back-to-back titles in 2022/23 and 2023/24, setting up an exciting battle between the two teams in the upcoming season. With new signings such as Alessia Captelletti, Valentina Bergamaschi, and Giulia Bison joining their ranks, Juventus aims to reclaim their position at the top of Italian women’s football. These additions are expected to bolster their competitiveness and improve their chances of success in the upcoming season.
