In the upcoming feature film “The Insect Life,” Jack Brett Anderson will star as the male lead, marking his feature debut. The movie is directed by James Hughes and produced by his company, Sunset Aperture. Hughes, known for directing award-winning shorts, has previously worked with actors such as Georgina Campbell and Tobias Menzies.

“The Insect Life” tells the emotional story of two characters, Levi and Céleste, who struggle with mental health issues and cling to each other romantically until addiction drives them apart. Their journeys of metamorphosis will contrast their chances of survival. Anderson has been confirmed to play Levi in the film.

Anderson described the script as immersive and visually stunning. He sees Levi and Céleste as representing the shining of one soul and the dimming of another. The movie has been in development for a decade and will also feature Richard Bell as director of photography and executive producer Paul Craig of Viewtorch Pictures Media.

Hughes expressed his passion for telling visual stories about the importance of support systems, especially in times of crisis. The central question of the film is whether a person’s support system can save them when their world is falling apart. This question drives the core of “The Insect Life.”

Jack Brett Anderson is represented by United Agents and Jade East PR.
