Josip Štrok’s parents have been unable to reach an agreement on the transfer of his body for over two months. The Croatian ambassador to Ireland, Davor Vidiš, stated that a lawsuit may be started to resolve the issue. The body is currently with the coroner in Dublin, and both parents, Nedjeljko and the mother, want it to go to different places. The ambassador highlighted the cost of embalming and lying in the body as an issue that still needs to be resolved.

Nediljko mentioned that there has been no new development in the case and is hopeful for a quick resolution. He also revealed that he and a friend were attacked in Ireland, which led to Josip’s death. The group of men who attacked them accused them of disrespecting their country by not speaking English. Three suspects were arrested in connection with the incident, with two appearing in court on charges of murder and assault. The incidents surrounding the attack and the suspects involved have been reported extensively in the media.
