In the aftermath of a violent incident that saw over 30 bullets fired at Splish Splash Laundromat and two empty vehicles on Richards Street in Joliet, police have made an arrest. Latrell Woodall, an 18-year-old resident of Bolingbrook, has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm by a person not eligible to obtain a FOID card. He is currently being held at the Will County Jail.

The Joliet Police Department launched an extensive investigation into the shooting that occurred on April 18. Following a thorough examination of evidence and witness statements, Woodall was identified as the suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained on April 26. The U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Woodall at his residence in Bolingbrook on Wednesday morning.

A raid was conducted at the Bolingbrook residence by Joliet Police Detectives, the Fugitive Task Force, and the Will County Sheriff’s Office. During the search, a rifle and ammunition were recovered. The Joliet Police Department expressed their gratitude to all agencies involved in the arrest and seizure of the weapon.

The case is still under active investigation, as stated by Dwayne English, spokesman for the Joliet Police Department. The authorities are working diligently to gather more information about the incident and any possible accomplices.
