John E. Anzak, a 66-year-old resident of Hannibal, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Born on July 31, 1957 to the late Shirley (Cochran) and John Anzak, he spent his entire life in the area and was an employee of the US Postal Service for 32 years.
During his time with the USPS, John served as a Post Master for 24 years before retiring on his birthday in 2009. Despite his busy work schedule, he always made time for fishing trips and watching sports – two pastimes he enjoyed immensely.
John is survived by his brother James Anzak of St.Clairsville, OH; niece Megan Anzak of Taylors, SC.; and step-niece Kelly Reasbeck of Marins Ferry. He also had three first cousins who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday November 22 at Apostolic Pentecostal Church at 73339 Pleasant Grove Rd in St Clairsville, OH at 1 pm with Pastor Dan Nelson officiating.
